Here's the final installment from the Daily Candy and the Patrón Social Club Perfect Pairings event. After my tequila tasting course I'm ready to unabashadley bring on these tequila-inspired, liquid divinities (someone else is going to have to do the cooking part). Enjoy!
Last night, 29 social media-istas plus myself had the very good fortune of participating in a Tequila Tasting Class & Party hosted by Del Rey & The Patron Spirits Company. The event was a thank you to Del Rey's Twitter followers.
Following is the second installment of the Daily Candy and the Patrón Social Club Perfect Pairings event held recently in New York.
Perfect Pairing #2:
MICHELADA REPOSADA paired with CARAMELIZED RADICCHIO & BEEF ROULADE
Going wine tasting on a sunny, crisp fall day is near perfection, at least in my book. Thanks to crush, there is always a flurry of activity which provides joe-average-wine-drinker opportunity for an inside peek at the behind-the-scenes world of wine making. With the boom of garagiste-type wineries, many of these warehouse wineries are doing their thing right before our very eyes. ...it’s the perfect time to make a pilgrimage east to the latest Washington wine Mecca: the Lake Chelan Valley to do a little fall wine tasting.
I am the Iron Chef....at least in my mind. My Task: To make really, really tasty food.
My Stadium: 1959 kitchen with a 1980's Jennair oven which works 60% of the time (being a kitchen warrior, I welcome the challenge!).
Twenty-nine (give or take a whack). We’ve all been creative with smuggling a bottle or two of wine in our suitcases before. But there is always that split second of panic when you gather your luggage at baggage claim…did it or didn’t it [make it]? Recently there’s been a few new products on the market to make (wine) suitcase [...]
...Fresh is tastefully understated and extremely welcoming. Clean lines, warm wood, user-friendly color palate...invitingly contemporary. There's a lovely little outside patio so we dined al fresco, which added to the perfection of the day. Pots full of herbs and flowers lined the patio's perimeter and subtle smells of thyme and similar fragrances treated our senses with each soft breeze.
